Shown is a 1999 John Deere Model 425 tractor fitted with a remote hand control to allow me operate the hydrostatic drive linkage. As a C6 quad I wanted to continue to use the Deere garden tractor series because of its reliability provided in other models I have owned. My wife and I live in the country with three plus acres of lawn we maintain and I like to help as often as possible. This modification still maintains the OEM pedals mounted on the right side for my wife to operate but quite often I catch her using the hand control. Simply pushing the self centering lever forward or pulling it back operates the tractor in the same. Let go of the lever and the tractor returns to the hydraulic stop position. The speed control is still operational from either device. Steering is assisted with a 3520 MPD Tri-pin steering device. Seat modifications were made after a trial test at home. Those pics will be added later.
